Mestre Loka

Mestre Loka is the founder of CapuraGinga. He has trained Capoeira for over 35 years and is the only Mestre to be graduated by his Mestre, Mestre Katiguara. Mestre Loka comes to San Antonio in March and September each year to help test members of our group.
CapuraGinga

is an international Capoeira organization with schools throughout Brazil and The United States. It was organized by Mestre Loka in 1983. In Texas, we have schools in San Antonio, Dallas, and Uvalde. Schools are also located in Santa Fe, NM; Lexington, KY; Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Longmont, CO; and Boston, MA. In Brazil, we have schools in Belem, Para. Membership in your Capoeira group is very important, so make sure to get to know as many of the other members of the group as you can. The friendships you will develop are an important part of Capoeira.
Batizado

Batizado is a ranking ceremony and belt exam. We test twice per year. Students are tested on their requirements, are able to train in workshops with visiting Mestres, and are able to learn more about Capoeira. Your participation will help you learn and progress in the Capoeira world. These events are not to be missed!
